📍 Today’s topic is really all about AI. And as a startup, how do we use AI to help us accelerate our growth? And I’m really hoping we can talk about use cases here, because there’s a lot of things that this AI is really amazing. I know I’ve got about five or six.

Priscilla’s joining us on stage here as well. And we’ve got Michele who’s going to lead will be our lead moderator today, Michele, let me know if I have any internet problems or whatnot. I will absolutely let, you know, Colin. All right. Very good. And we know this app has been going through a lot of bugs lately.

Yeah, they try to roll it out.

Michele, what do you think about today’s topic? Oh, this is something near and dear to my heart. I’m just trying to learn everything that I can on the topic of AI, but you know, more specifically how I can actually use it. So I’m super excited, um, to hear. You know what others have to say and what others are learning about.

You know, what are ways that we can actually use AI right now? So that’s what I’m thinking about. And, um, I know we have people here. Priscilla has a lot of experience in this field, and I’m sure there are other members that will want to get up on the stage here very quickly and add to this conversation.

So I think we should just get going, Colin.

All right. Absolutely. Absolutely. I mean, I think there. There’s a lot of things that AI is going to do. I truly believe it’s going to be historic. It’s going to change the name of the game. And as founders, we really want to become experts in this space. We, you know, we devote a lot of shows here to AI.

We’ve done, I think this is probably the fifth or sixth show of the year that we dedicated to AI. And we’re going to continue to do that. Because it’s something that we all really, really need to learn. Yeah, it kind of sucks. We figured everything out. We may be, it may have a successful startup, but you know what, it’s all going to be thrown out and everything’s going to change again.

And the, all the cards have been reshuffled, we’ve got to figure it out. We’re entrepreneurs. Change is something we embrace. Uh, and I even talk about, uh, AI in the book, start, scale, exit, repeat. So I thought I could just kick it off here by reading a segment From that book, which is going to come out October 3rd, time and time again, we’ve launched businesses in new spaces, catching the next big wave, the latest being the rise of AI launched in late 2022, a chat GPT and Dali, the potential to transform existing industries and open opportunities for startups will be huge as AI continues to make great advances.

The concept of looking at the waves and trends in the market is, I believe, a fairly simple but underutilized strategy for entrepreneurs to vet their ideas and assess the next steps forward. Too often I see young businesses, grads, launching trendy t shirts or cool bar apps only to find it a very difficult business to grow.

But if you can get traction in a startup benefiting from the rise of a wave like AI, You have less competition from the big companies. It’s that simple. There are so many applications, so many opportunities, so many opportunities to transform your AI. And I’m going to kick it off with one. I had been tasked putting together a contract, get this Priscilla, a contract for a loan to a company.

So I went to ChatGPT and I put in all the parameters of the contract within about, I don’t know, 30 seconds, a minute. Then it, it literally wrote the contract that was a basic contract, had legal advice.

Okay. Got him off the stage. Okay. Get, you know, get legal advice. You know, you know, do, be be, you know, do take this information appropriately and let’s not assume we don’t ever need lawyers again. But if you needed a simple contract, just going and, and typing that in, having it write it up for, for, for me was just mind boggling.

And that was just one use case. And so it’s those type of use cases, uh, that I’d like to hear about from everyone here on stage and in the audience, if you want to come on stage and join the conversation, we’re happy to have you on stage and follow you as well, if you’re in the club. Yeah. On that note, obviously everyone knows there’s been a lot of changes to the app.

We’re going to follow everyone here in the audience. You know, the model has changed a little bit to get friends counts. You need to follow someone both ways. So we’ll follow you guys, everyone in the audience and you follow us back and, and hopefully we can all add to our, um, you know, Our members. So let’s get started.

I’m going to give an example of something that I did just recently. Um, I am helping out a company overseas and they are building a new website, a new corporate website. So I’m a subject matter expert in the, in the domain that they, um, that they do business in. So I thought, gosh, wouldn’t it be really cool?

If I could just type in something specifically to chat GTP to help me come up with a global navigation system and just some high level functionality. Just, um, you know, to get us started, so I typed in my prop, I was specific, you know, about the areas of the website and the industry that, um, this is in.

And I, I was so impressed that it came back with something that was actually very relevant. It was not generic. It was actually very relevant in terms of what the navigation for a business like this would be. It was a domain registry. So I, you know, that’s a use case I use. For me, I was extremely happy about it because it made my day go a little bit smoother so I could focus on something else.

So that’s a very recent experience. I had just the other day a use case. And I’m trying to incorporate just into my, you know, daily routine when I have these kind of assignments. That I’m actually using chat GTP, which I actually did also use for this podcast, which I will, you know, share some of that information that I see here, but that was my recent case.

And, um, I know Priscilla, you’re up here on the stage, you, you also do consulting, and I would love to hear of how you’re using, you know, a real life use case that we could all incorporate. Hey, Priscilla here, thank you for allowing me to speak, I, I snuck in and I said, you know what? Let me join this title club because I’m so excited to be amongst all of you and really sharing this space and growing together.

So for what I use it for are multiple ways. Um, one is I have a platform and a means of creating and developing relationships between, let’s say, an AI service provider. And with an affiliate or publisher, right? But the way that I utilize AI is to automate things and communication a bit quicker, right?

Between The, uh, members of, let’s say my website and the affiliates and the merchants. So there’s so much to be done with AI that just makes things a little more streamlined, a little more quicker. Uh, also, uh, you were mentioning contracts now contracts. It’s a huge thing, especially for, uh, startups, founders, even affiliates, right?

So we, we have all these different types of agreements that we really need to understand and make sure that it’s a two way benefit. So it’s mutually beneficial for both parties. So what I do is I’ll go to Claude if there is, let’s say an influencer contract. that, um, I want to make sure does include something that is mutually beneficial.

I will ask Claude, Hey, can you please rewrite this to where it’s more mutually beneficial and that the influencer can recognize that. So that’s a really strong use case that I use something like Claude for personal pausing. Yeah. I like. that you did that. Um, Priscilla, I think that was a really great idea.

Um, I’m going to keep that one in mind. And I’m, you know, thinking lately, you know, I read a lot of people use prompts where they basically put in something like, let’s just use something that’s not a contract, but let’s just say like a requirements document or some other thing like that and ask the AI to improve it or to maybe, um, Tell you where there’s holes or criticisms.

Like, I think that is a very strong case because obviously you, you only know what you know. So, it’s a way to find, um, your, your blind spots and perhaps make things better. And that’s always good. Okay. Mimi. I know you use AI too. So, I’d love to hear some of the use cases that you’re doing. Everybody, um, Mimi is the editor.

Here at Startup Club, Startup Club website and in our podcast. So, um, she is using AI as well, and I’d love to hear how you’re using it in your daily routine. I’m loving hearing all of these tips and these recent conversations. I got so many good Suggestions from Priscilla and our guests last week. So you guys should check out that conversation Um, I love chat GPT.

We use that a lot for blog writing Social media a lot of marketing things like that And, um, recently we’ve been using Descript for a podcast and they introduced a new AI feature that I’ve been playing around a little bit with, but I haven’t fully, um, gotten the hang of it, but that’s cool, too. What do you think, Michele?

What are some of your favorites that we try? Yeah, I mean, I, you know, Descript is absolutely critical for us in this. Some, some of you might find this interesting. Descript is actually an early adopter of AI and they actually are part of open AI who, who, you know, owns chat GTPs. So Descript is actually working very closely with OpenAI and they have received venture funds for the work that they’re doing.

I’m not as close to it as Mimi, but I’m seeing some really interesting features, um, that they definitely have. And in the most recent releases of some of the software, I’m seeing a lot of mention of using voice and video in AI. So I can only imagine the things that can be done there. All right, we have a couple of brave souls up here on the stage, and we’d love to hear what you have to say, Minnie.

Minnie, tell us about your use cases, how you’re using AI in your daily routines. Thank you. Thanks for bringing me up on stage and I’m glad to be here. Um, so for those of you who don’t know, I am blind and as I have a D H D. So, um, AI in my daily routine, um, I use it quite a lot. Um, I’m using chat g p T for.

To find, um, information about my target audience for my business. Um, I’ve, I’m also, um, looking to, um, actually, because, um, I’m, I’m, I am an accessibility tester. So, sorry guys, I’m an accessibility tester, so. I am actually launching my own business to help, um, female entrepreneurs, um, to, um, make their brands inclusive.

And I, um, in that, um, I’m not only doing website audits and all the other things that go along with it, but I really want to tap into AI and, um, be able to. Um, help, um, female entrepreneurs and, and other other people who are creating these different AI tools, um, to, uh, to, um, to make sure that, um, The blind, uh, community is, um, involved in creating them, right?

Uh, uh, uh, instead of just releasing them and, oh, and hoping that they work with a screen reader. Um, but, um, yeah, I use ChatGPT as well as, um, I use HeyPi a lot just for conversational purposes. Um, yeah, I, and so, and I’m testing out some other ones now, um, to see how they’re going to work. I also use Poe for brainstorming.

Um, well now I have to resubscribe. I have to subscribe because my seven day free trial was up, but, um, yeah. AI is great. And, um, I’m interested to see what everyone else has to say, and I’m here for the conversation. Awesome. Uh, that’s so amazing. And I can hear your, um, accessibility app. That’s what that is for those in the audience have not experienced it, that mean he’s using.

And you reminded me of something that I actually forgot. Many, um, I actually run a website in e commerce business, meowingtons. com, and we use an accessibility app, AssessaBee, and it actually does use AI. To automatically go through the whole website, but there’s actually a kind of a caveat and I’m glad you brought up accessibility because, um, and here’s why, what I do is so important, right?

Because as a screen reader user, like you might think that, Oh, they’re accessibility plugins, right? Or they’re overlays that they work with every screen reader, right? Right. Not the case. And so, um, as a result, right? Like, that’s why it’s so, so important for, um, mind issues. Like I said, female entrepreneurs like yourself, but, um, But it’s so, so important for, um, entrepreneurs, for, uh, creators for all businesses too, as well, but, um, really entrepreneurs and creators to reach out to somebody like me and say, Hey, Um, I have this feature that i’m testing that or I have this app or right or i’m thinking about doing such and such on my website, right like Basically, it’s important for um for for business owners to really Include us on the front end, right?

So basically kind of like a code design, right? So that we are a part of the development of the, Hey, can, can you test this out for me? Right. To see if it’s going to work with voiceover or to see if it’s going to work with your, your screen reader. Right. So that when you launch these things, right, you don’t have people like me getting frustrated saying, oh, it’s not accessible.

And I wouldn’t do this. But I know a lot of people would, they would just like give up because they feel like, well, they didn’t bother to include me in the process. So they must be didn’t give, they didn’t care. Yeah, it was a challenge to select it and I, uh, appreciate that feedback. I’m going to reach out to you separately.

I want to hear more about that. Yeah, you can hit me on, um, DM me on Instagram. Okay. And, um, and yeah, we can start the conversation. I will. Um, if you send me your calendar or your website and I will, um, I will book, book on your calendar because right now I’m still trying to set all that stuff up for myself.

But, um, are we allowed to put links in the chat? Because I was going to drop my phone. Okay. Okay. Feel free to. Okay. All right. Thank you. This is, you know, a really good conversation. Like I’m even thinking about areas that I should be using. AI for more. So let’s get to Safi. Um, Safi, we’re looking for real actual use cases.

How are you using? Um, whether it be in your business implementing or, um, just using as tools, how are you using AI? And how can you suggest or suggest to us tools that we might should look at? Go ahead. Safi. Hey, Michele. How are you? Thank you. Uh, well, first of all, talking about the AI, it is noticeably, it’s obviously noticed that the user of AI, uh, Uh, has, um, increasingly over the whole world and, uh, we use AI every day.

Well, like talking about it from my own perspective, I’m a math teacher, so. They use, they use the usage of AI. I have to use it every day. And, uh, uh, not talking about the chat GBT, but talking about, uh, another, another, uh, AI, it’s called P or PI or something like that. You can found it on the internet if you just Google it.

And, uh, The, the most, uh, cool thing about this app is you can text it, like you can send a message on it, on, uh, you can send a message to it on Instagram or on, uh, on fa, on Facebook or on WhatsApp, and it’s gonna, uh, answer you immediately the various, and, uh, The large knowledge that the Apple provides, it’s so, it’s so amazing, but, uh, this is, uh, one, uh, perspective or, uh, one point about the AI talking about the.

Other parts of the A. I. Usage is like, uh, which is, uh, really frightened a lot of people is when they’re using the A. I. To fake the photo of people like, uh, I don’t know. What do we call it? It’s called deep fake or something like this. If you know, I’m sure that you heard about it, but yeah, right. The deep fake, and

especially that we, when you live in a country, like for example, I’m from the middle East and, uh, When, when, uh, when people use the deep fake to fake a certain photo for certain people, those people can really get effect because of that. And maybe they’re going to be killed. So the, uh, the increasing of the AI and, uh, how do people use it?

It has to be a limit like the government or the guys who are responsible for the AI should put a limit on it and should make people more aware of, uh, of the, uh, which we call it of the usage of, uh, So, uh, I think, uh, and, uh, I think that you’re doing a great job here by, uh, um, make people aware of the AI.

And, uh, I think there is, this is, uh, most, uh, very important topic that people need to be aware of. And, uh, what else? I guess, uh, this is everything that I wanted to say about it. Um, I hope I covered the questions that you asked me because I’ve got a golden fish memory. And if you ask me a question, I’m going to forget it.

I’m in my chapter. No, no, that’s okay. So you have pointed out something that is very important. I would love to hear Priscilla’s take on this. Um, you know, the whole deep fake. I think that’s an area where AI could spot deep fakes, but I want to hear what your thoughts are on this Priscilla.

Okay, maybe Priscilla stepped away first. Oh, there she is. Hey, yeah, um, I do practice responsible AI and I, I understand where, uh, Safi is coming from. One of the things, and I’m sorry, I’m laughing because Michele put a lot of Uh, laughing face, uh, one of the things that I would really point out regarding deepfakes is that they are produced using sophisticated AI techniques like generative adversarial networks.

So there is a lot of what we call, um, manipulation. There’s other words for that, that is technical. Uh, so it is a concern, right? But I think A way to encourage mitigation in this area would be, okay, instead of utilizing the actual face, what if you combined the face or did what we call a face swap, where I can put my face In, you know, different multicultural settings, right?

So, um, I can expand upon that, but then, you know, I, I don’t know how much time you want me to speak on that. But, um, yeah, you know, we’re seeing a lot of that with celebrities, uh, musicians. They’re not happy with it, you know, and I do think there, there needs to be more regulation and compliance, um, put into practice really to, to have that, that fine line, right.

And, and understand, okay, this is what’s happening. Not a people, not so many people are comfortable with this. Uh, this, there is potential underlying issues with this and maybe if, uh, we approached it in a different way and, uh, provide some type of citation or some type of credit where even, cause you see this with Elon Musk.

Significant other where she literally said, Hey, you can use my voice. You can use my, you know, whatever it is about me. I just want a rev share of it. So, you know, we’re, we’re looking more towards, uh, that direction where celebrities are now saying, Hey, because it’s so out of control. Let’s go ahead and, um, offer a rev share opportunity where it’s a win win situation.

Priscilla Pazin. Yeah, I, I think this is going to be amazing to watch unfold. How do we quote police, credit, whatever you want to say, all of this content. And um, there are some nations that are going to be very aggressive about it. We’re already hearing that coming out of China. Obviously, there is a lot of discussions in the U.

    S. and other countries as well. How do we police this without censorship? You know, this is, Priscilla, I, I don’t know how they’re going to get around it without using A. I. That’s, that’s the funny part about it.

Yeah, I think that’s right. I was just gonna say, Yeah. So in essence, this is why we have responsible a I and ethical a I because we have to use a I to regulate a I exactly what Michele said. Priscilla positive. Yeah. And I think that, you know, any new industry, any new change is going to be, uh, it’s going to be regulatory involvements.

We do want to try to get back on track here. We’re trying to come up with A number of different use cases. This is a, uh, this content will be featured in a blog on Startup Club, and also we are working on a national article as well, which will include some of these use cases. One of the things that I actually think can be very impactful, um, is customer service.

At paw. com, we have about six or seven customer service agents who are located in the Philippines and, uh, English isn’t always their first language. Uh, chat GPT, and I believe it’s now being embedded inside the customer service app that we run, uh, can actually help correct language issues. And actually, in some ways, if you think about that, that’s, uh, that’s, uh, an opportunity for people all over the world to now operate at a similar, similar level than those who actually can write English.

Well, sorry, Mimi, I know you, you’re a professional writer, but, you know, someone like myself or somebody else who’s in customer service or they’re in foreign jurisdictions. Uh, they can you can actually use this technology a I to sort of clean up their conversation. Uh, at least for now in text. And maybe that will come to voice eventually as well.

But at least now for text and, um, what I also like about it is you can train the a I to actually, uh, I call it institutionalizing positive wording. Uh, we had a gentleman on this show. I think it’s, you know, if you go back about 30 or 40 episodes, uh, if you search for power talking, uh, George Walter, uh, he came on and he explains the impact you can have on customer service by adding certain words and keywords and key different ways you could actually institutionalize positivity.

The response is now I know the A. I. S. Doing it. But the fact is, this is something that can can be done on a regular basis, and it can project a better image for your company. So I’m actually excited about the fact that you could have it help with customer service and improving the language. But you could also make it positive.

And that that to me is very exciting. So we’re gonna continue to look for use cases. Michele, do you want to give us another one? Yeah, I’m going to give you one that I think is so exciting and you don’t hear people talking about it as much, but every day I’m seeing a little more and more on it and this is for medical purposes and I’m going to say specifically.

For, you know, like a cancer diagnosis, like you’re seeing now, doctors are really starting to embrace this to the extent that they have the tools where they would just be at a loss. You know, what was wrong in a, in a diagnosis in terms of, you know, even as far as, um, medicating, you know, dosages of chemotherapy or identifying exact cancers and they’re showing right now that was such speed and precision.

The medical community is, is going to be a huge benefactor of this, which, you know, is going to help everyone. So, I, I really think, um, Colin, that’s a particularly exciting thing and I’m, I’m looking forward to seeing lots of research money go there to help people.

Alright, I’m going to go Munra. I don’t think I, I’m sorry if I’m not saying your name correctly. What is the use case you’re seeing or experiencing for AI? Hi, hello everyone. So I, uh, can you hear me please? Okay, so I’m, uh, I’m into AI automation. I build chatbots for real estate, for customer care. I built a personal chatbots like if you are into coaching a business coach or an online coach, I can build a chatbot that makes people access your knowledge anywhere they are, anywhere in the world.

And the good thing about it is you can actually come in front. In form of a link or a WhatsApp boot. So, you know, it’s easier when I ask question from you, uh, from a boat and I was able to get answers. I can actually tell my friend, oh, I have this WhatsApp just like how WhatsApp G B T was moving around then.

Abuse, stuff like that. Then I, there’s a way we do it now that you can actually review your, um, cv. Through a chatbot. There are various automation, um, chatbots that we use. They have the, um, stacked voice flow, the, uh, bot press. So, basically, I’m into, I use AI. I used to use AI tools because I think the total number of AI tools I know is close to like 8, 000.

And I think I use most of them, aside from chatgbt. Like, I, I integrated. Almost 10 AI tools into my email that sent mail for me So my twitter my I have, you know extension just AI extensions to make my job productivity easier for me Well now the world is moving into AI automation They want something you want like a virtual assistant or something that can Them make their business that can bring their business out there, that can make life easier for their customers, their client.

And if that is what Chatbot is doing now, and that is where everybody’s moving it in, you know, if you’re using Zapier, you know, you can now integrate charge PT into Zapier to help you generate your response to your email, to your um, notion and everything. So when it comes to automation and integration, that is what majorly I use of activity.

Stopped learning AI or using AI tools, what I do is open

and Zapier send me know what Zapier is. Sorry. Yeah. You know what that is, Michele? Yes, I do. But I’ll let Munya explain it to us. I think we lost her. Do you want to explain it? Yeah. So it helps you. Go ahead. Munya, you go ahead.

You, you asked me to do what? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Um, Colin said, what is Zapier? So I, yeah, he was asking if you could explain to him what that is. Oh, okay. Zapier is an automation, uh, like a no code automation system that helps you with integrating your business. You want to, okay, let me explain. Maybe you have somebody that sent you a mail and you want to reply without you being there.

You want it to be automatic, like an automatic, um, Reply without you being there, Zapier. Once you set it, you set your triggers, your actions, and the good thing about it is Zapier has. You can integrate over 5, 000 different applications on Zapier. You can integrate your Notion to your, um, your Gmail. You can integrate your Gmail to your Slack.

You can send, immediately you have a mail, or you have maybe anything to do. You can set in such a way that Notion or anything, any app you’re using, can send. The, um, tax to your Slack main bar automatically without you even being there. Like my, my, my, um, Instagram, my DM Instagram. I have one chat, but I’ve built already.

That replies message for me. I’m there. I’m not there. I’m online. I’m not, I’m not online. You understand that this, uh, this is what my clients want. And this is what you should see. So is what is automation Zapier? We have Zapier and we have make, those are the two ones that I use and I know they are. Very, very, very, very, okay.

When it comes to productivity, when it comes to integrating one, um, one of your, maybe your CRA to your mail, your Google, your like, if you, if you are creating an email list and you want to send them a campaign, you can, if you’re using like, um, email chimp, you can use that as a trigger that once you have an email, They need to come out and subscribe.

Then you send a meal to them instantly. That was up here. Actually Zapier and make it. That’s what they do. Actually. Yeah. And I think of it as a way to connect apps, right? Like you said, in an easy to do way based on some, um, business rules. Yeah. It’s, it actually depend on the apps you want to use. It depends.

You need to understand what I need to trigger. Like, okay, I want, let’s say somebody sent me a meal. And I want the mail to, I want, I want the mail to go into. I want to, oh, how am I going to put it? I want the username, you understand the email, the, the sender. I want it in a row in my spreadsheet. Instead of writing it one by one, I’m going to set my mail as a trigger.

Then I’m going to send my Gmail, my Goggle Doc as, um, an action that anytime I have a new meal, I wanted to filter the, um, name, the email address. The mail and the number of the person in a new spreadsheet automatically is gonna do it. Yeah, yeah. And I love it for sales, right? You get an incoming email and you can just automate it and sync it up to HubSpot.

It’s, it’s, it’s good for, uh, uh, a lot of us that are, you know, startups and smaller businesses. Really great for that. You don’t need a whole IT team, so thank you for that. And Colin, did you or Priscilla have another use case to add as we try to build our list here? Yeah, I think that, um, we can use this A.

    I. As a chief marketing officer, we had a show on here a couple months back, and we had a bit of a competition. Uh, we asked a marketing person to come up with a tagline for startup club, and it was good. You know, it was a bit long, but she came up with a pretty decent one. Then we asked to come out with five of them.

And One of the ones they came up with was fuel your startup journey. And, uh, I thought that was pretty good. So it can help you with taglines. It can help you with domain name registration. It can help you, uh, write copy or add copy. So, for instance, uh, when we did, uh, submit the book, we submitted it last November.

We did not use ChatGPT in any way in the writing of that book. It was just a matter of timing. I’m certain we may have used it, uh, we may have used it, uh, had it been available, but it wasn’t available. So we submitted the book to Forbes last November. Come February, we were asked to provide the Uh, cover, uh, uh, description and the inside cover.

So I went to ChatGPT and I asked ChatGPT to, um, first of all, I took the introduction of the book. And I fed that into the AI. And I said, I’m, can you please write the inside cover of a book, dot, dot, dot. And so it printed it, or it, it, sorry, came up with a very, very good Uh, compelling inside cover, um, uh, description or sales pitch, we’ll call it.

There are reasons why you want to read Start, Scale, Exit, Repeat. Uh, and, uh, we ran with it and then six months later, Forbes put that up on the Amazon listing and we were in a discussion with them about a month ago, a month and a half ago and said, why haven’t you changed the actual listing? Uh. It’s like, why haven’t you tried to improve it or change it?

Because we don’t know what we’re doing. We’re not experts in the space. You’re experts. And they came back and said it was absolutely perfect. This is what we’re dealing with. I mean, this is something that would have taken hours and hours. I know for me to do it, it would have taken me hours and it never would have been as good.

As what, um, the A. I. Had produced. So developing ad copy, uh, designing ads for your e commerce products, you know, on for facebook ads or google ads. Any of those type of applications. It seems to have a really good knowledge, uh, an understanding of marketing and, uh, I find that fascinating. I know what this might be threatening.

To some marketing professionals, but at the same time, you know, everyone evolves and changes. And maybe there’s ways that marketing professionals can evolve and change, for instance, by offering these marketing services at a much lower price and customers. Excellent. Yes, it’s, it’s, it’s, it feels limitless now.

And that’s, I feel it’s an amazing. Amazing new thing that’s going to change all of ours life and world, hopefully in a positive way. So let’s get to Candice. She’s been very patient waiting. So Candice, we’d love to hear your use case, how you’re using or how you want to use AI. And your startup. Hi there.

Um, I’m glad that you brought up the marketing kind of part because marketing is one part of what I do. Um, I’m a writer. I have an e com store. I do marketing strategy. I’m a polymath. I do a lot. And I’ve been using AI even before chat GPT became a thing. I was using different tools like Jarvis and word hero, and I have so many applications for this.

It’s crazy. So. One idea that I did is I used it as a life coach. I literally used it as a life coach to work through mindset problems. I started typing and I said, please act as if you are a life coach. I want to have a back and forth conversation to work through my slump. And it did back and forth and it was amazing.

It would say, you know, well, what’s your problem currently? And we’ll have you thought about it this way. And did you look at it from this different angle? And it was. It was amazing. It was like talking to a friend, really. Um, I made, it made a case study for me. I took a bunch of mess of jot notes about what I did.

So here’s what I did. Here’s what the results were. And it turned it into a professionally formatted case study for me. It had, you know, grand background, challenges, um, You know, challenges and then, you know, what the solution was and what the results were, and all I had to do was put it in a word doc and like, like put like H ones and H twos in it.

Um, I made a presentation. I took my entire marketing strategy. It was just written in a doc and it formatted, formatted it into an outline for a slide deck organized by topic with bullet points. I gave it a brand with a target audience and key messages. And it came up with a bunch of visuals for static images and storyboards for video ads.

And the best part of this, it helps me brainstorm with my books. I typed into it, I type into it a lot, but I typed it and I said, here’s the plot of my book. Here’s my character. Here’s where I want the character to go. What possible, you know, angsty background would have caused them to act like this. And it gave me a bunch of reasons.

Your character might act like this because they had a traumatic childhood where their father left them. Or, you know, your character acts like this because, you know, they were betrayed by a close friend and now they can’t trust. And I was like, oh my god, these are all brilliant! So yes, I love AI. That is like so amazing.

I had not thought about using it to, you know, help in the, you know, my personal life. So I’m definitely going to try that one, Candice. I like it very much. And I think, you know, along to your point. You know, in terms of business, I can see how you could put like a business situation. Maybe you didn’t know how to react or you didn’t know how to handle, and I could see it being able to give you some useful suggestions in scenarios where you felt uncomfortable as well, or scenarios to make perhaps a deal or conversation flow smoother.

So that’s, that’s a great thing that you pointed out. I don’t think I’ve really heard people talk about that as much. Thank you. All right. I think now we have about 15 minutes left of our show today. I think Colin and Priscilla, why don’t we just go around kind of quick fire format and just start listening for our members, for our blog, for our podcasts, other ways that haven’t been mentioned yet.

So we can make sure that we cover some good ground here. And we’re going to start with you. I’ll put it on the spot. I have all these ideas and now I can’t think of anything. Um, um, oh, I’m so nervous. Uh, let me think. Uh, come back to me. Come back to me. All right. I’m going to come back to you. I have one and it is fraud detection.

So fraud detection, e commerce, credit card transactions. You know, since these models can really make, let’s just say, unbiased correlations, I see amazing opportunity for fraud detection. Okay. I got one. I got one. So blog articles. Now when I say that, um, it really can produce some pretty sophisticated blog articles.

Uh, my wife runs a school and as a, for fun, I said, would you like me to write just 10 articles? And I went on and literally, and this is a Montessori school, it’s an AMI Montessori school. So it’s a fairly unique, not too many people are aware of, but they deliver detailed articles. I said, come up with eight steps to, uh, or eight reasons why AMI Montessori is different.

Or how do Montessori teachers get trained? Michele, we’re getting a lot of background noise from here. Speaker there. But how do Montessori teachers get trained and what are the benefits of Montessori? That you just came up with a number of these articles the one thing I do like to do is prompt it with give me eight or ten tips or Those type of things because it comes back fairly fairly good I think if you give it too many it could could water it down too much But a lot of people I know when they read these blogs like that kind of stuff So if you’re running an e commerce site, like we will we have the paw.

com e commerce site And actually I’ve done this before too. I said, you know, um, write a blog for, uh, why someone would use a memory foam car seats from paw. com. And it goes, it knows paw. com’s listing, it sees it, and it comes back with all the reasons why it’s important for dogs to use a car seat, including security because they get, you know, strapped in and they get, um, they have soft, uh, soft, softer cushion and, you know, especially older dogs and whatnot.

So it comes back with so many great things. Just, just simply writing blogs. For your e commerce site, and it doesn’t cost you much. It literally costs you two minutes to type in the prompt and cut and paste. And yeah, I do think sometimes you got to go back and edit it and make certain it is accurate and correct.

But usually it’s 95 percent of the way back there. They usually, I often say it’s, it’s, or everyone says that it’s easier to edit than to create, right? So have it start. And then spend your time editing. Okay, let’s go to Priscilla in our fast round. Hey, I love what you both just shared. I am using it right now for my affiliate marketing message.

Um, I’m a master class. So being for 2023 and 2024. And these are a couple of things that it’s really helped me out with outline a course curriculum, generate lesson scripts. So I already have expertise in this space coming from over 20 years. So now I could just go and I can enhance my own creative authority.

And this space, right? So it’s helped me out with that. Uh, automate handouts, um, simulate some Q and A’s because sometimes that’s hard, especially if you’re an expert, you really don’t know what a beginner in the space is going to need to understand. Uh, also it could assist with creating assessments and like, uh, Candace.

This had mentioned if she’s in the marketing space, it could also assist with, uh, promotions and product descriptions, Priscilla pausing. Awesome. I use it for that as well. It works so well and it’s a huge time saver and you can put in prompts to make it SEO friendly as a senior copywriter and the list goes on.

Okay. And the spirit of fast, fast round here, lightning round. I’m going to say. Um, I’m thinking of using AI for inventory management planning. This is something that is, can be really, really tough. Um, and we do it rather manually right now. But I’m hoping that soon I can get some kind of inventory predictive sales analysis to help us make more intelligent decisions about when to buy, when to sell, um, our inventory.

All right, Mimi, you’re up. Um, I think somebody might have touched base, but I didn’t hear anybody say that it’s good. I like using it for analyzing data from spreadsheets. Like it’s, uh, you can pull a lot of information about customers, um, you know, like market stuff. And I think it’s really good to look at a lot of data quickly and break it down.

Excellent. And there’s What about resumes? Like, could you take that with resumes? Uh, and then, let’s say your job, you put your job description in. The resumes come in and then the AI tries to figure out who would be the best person for that job. I don’t know if anyone’s done that yet or if anyone’s seen that.

I have seen it and I do think it is a huge use case. Um, I know somebody who’s doing it actually. And um, I just typed it in also to chat GTP use cases. They said. I’m going to tell you Pyrometrics, Harvard, HireVue, but it’s an excellent way to screen candidates for the parameters, for the qualifications that you want.

I’m sure there’ll be other ones that come out as well. Thank you. Reminds me of a book, the movie Moneyball, where they take analytics to actually put a team together, and they didn’t care if they, who they were, they just simply used the analytics. And they were successful at putting together a very successful team can’t remember the sport right now.

I think it was baseball. Uh, but could you could do the same for your startup? Could you actually use AI to help put together a better team for your startup? And I think you can get very Colin. You’re you’re breaking up on us. So we’re going to go. Next to Kyle. Kyle, I know you have an idea here. How would you like to use AI or are using AI?

Kyle. Alright, I think he’s stepped away from his mic, so we’re going to go to Safi. Safi, our quick round here. What are other ideas for AI usage, problem solving, whatever it might be? I think we got a popcorn style here.

Okay. Thank you. So I was thinking about the AI and sorry, the last few minutes I wasn’t here by my phone, but I was thinking about the AI since I entered this room and, uh, Just as we said before, like the AI has an enormous dangerous on people. So as well, it has its own benefits to the people. So like the right usage, what we need to do is to make people aware how to use this technology.

And of course we should have And our mind and we, we should really put an eye on that the new generations now we’re talking, we’re talking about those children, those kids who are just, they’re growing up and they just opened their eyes, uh, seeing this technology and increasing in front of their eyes. So we have to work on the new generations.

To make them more aware of the, uh, the, the artificial intelligence and how do we use it and how we take the full benefit of it. Now about the AI, the IT programmers, programmers, they use it all the time. Teachers, I use it all the time. My friend is an accountant and he use it day and night. So as well with the other, uh, with the other professional professionalism, is that right?

I mean, like the people who has, uh, or. Uh, with people who have certain job and, uh, they use it to do their job. And, uh, and, uh, even in our phones, like I have an application in my phone that I can just use the AI to remove the background. So I can just, uh, just, uh, uh, replace the background so easily or place it with any picture that I want.

And, uh, uh, this thing started with the Photoshop, I guess. Uh, Years ago, by now it has been improved. So what we need actually to focus on the new generations. And, uh, so as well with, with the current generations, like the, um, what do we call them? The millennial millennium or millennium? Yes. All right. Okay.

Good. And I just want to get to coach. I see you recently joined the stage. Um, we’d love to hear your ideas as well. Uh, before we start to close the room here, coach

coach coach Coach. All right. If you’re there, coach. All right. That’s okay. If you’re not, I’m going to go back up to Manny if you had anything that you wanted to add to our conversation about ways to use AI use cases. Yeah. So, um, just really quickly so I was sitting here thinking of two and one use case that I could see that I haven’t seen as I know that you know a lot of us small business owners that some of us can’t afford a VA.

So I would, um, love to see, um, some type of way that AI could, um, could, I know it can book appointments and all that type of stuff, but, um, If it could, um, could go out and, um, and look for, um, different types of, um, like, uh, different websites and stuff like tools that we could use for our business. And, um, yeah, so that’s kind of, uh, one way that I was thinking of some use cases that I thought and also, um.

It’s to get better with, um, with, uh, like, um, And also if they could, if it could be used to help, um, to help, um, to help business owners, um, with their, um, with their, like, uh, like as far as like, you know, research, right? Like, I know that chat GPT is great, but are there any other ones out there that can do that as well?

Yeah, it’s, it’s interesting. It reminds me of, Virtual Assistant reminds me of the movie Her. I don’t know if you ever saw that. I can’t see the mute there. Hold on.

Yeah, it reminds me of the movie Her. And, uh, how it actually is something that is coming. You know, if someone knows that this is the time you get a haircut, it’ll book your haircut appointments for you. It’ll, it’ll do a lot of the basic functions that you do every day. And it’ll help you become a lot more efficient.

The other thing about research, uh, you prompted me to think about is business plans. Uh, it’s very, very smart, I think, to use, uh, chat GPT or that for business plans as well. And creating your business plan, doing SWOT analysis, SWOT analysis, uh, doing, uh, different components. I do think it’s important to try to develop these concepts.

You know, first on your own, and then use the, uh, bot to try to improve it. But I know that you can also go in reverse and give you some ideas as well. Uh, we have an interesting project here at Startup Club that we’re working on. Uh, it started with the book. The book is coming out, by the way, October 3rd.

Published by Forbes and it’s going to come out on audible and it’s available everywhere from Amazon to Barnes and Noble and in Canada. I think it’s indigo. This is the name of the store in Canada, but what we’ve done a startup club is we’ve taken the book and we put it. We put it into. And again, I’m not going to.

Say this correctly probably right Priscilla, but we put it into a database or we put it into its own engine. Uh, uh, maybe you can help me Michele here on this one. I don’t know what you call it. What do you call it? You put, we took all the text and put it into a chat bot. And then, um, and then now you can ask a question.

And the responses come from the book, and then ChatGPT, I guess, also is involved as well. It helps to organize the, the answers that are in the book. And that is the first step, uh, that we are going to be using to, uh, help people, uh, get information when they’re launching a startup. So for instance, you can go there and say, Well, uh, how do I exit my company?

Or what’s the best way to scale my company? Or how do I come up with the next startup idea? Or once I have an idea, what are the things I can do to take action on that idea? All of these answers are in the book. And if you want to just get a direct answer, you can go to this particular site that we’re going to launch on October 3rd when we launch the book, and it’s going to be off on Startup Club, and you can ask a question.

It’s going to give you back responses. We do want to increase that, uh, Priscilla. We want to add on all of the shows that we’ve done here on Clubhouse. We’ve done about 130, uh, shows on. Serial entrepreneur secrets revealed. That’s the one we do every Friday and we do another show every Thursday called the complete entrepreneur.

That’s Thursdays at five o’clock. We want to take all of that data and put that into this engine. Uh, and, uh, with that, you can then ask it, it’ll have a much broader. Information set that it can pull from, but again, stuff that’s sort of more connected to what we’ve been discussing and really focused on startups and eventually you’ll be able to, it’ll recommend certain particular episodes that we have on a particular topic.

So, if I’m looking at, oh, what do I do when I want to take my startup to the next level or get my idea? To launch. Oh, it’ll recommend these two or three episodes that talk about that as well. So you can see where it’s really a tool that can be used to help educate. And that’s what we’re doing here at Startup Club.

Thank you very much. You’ve been listening to Serial Entrepreneur Secrets Revealed. My co moderators, Michele, Priscilla and Mimi. Thank you very much for joining us today. I know I’ve followed everyone here in the club, in the audience, because I think it’s important that we all connect on this app if you feel like you would like to follow the people on the stage or in the audience.

Uh, now would be a good time because we’re going to close the room in 30 seconds. Any final words from you, Michele or Priscilla? I’m looking forward to this blog post. And, um, everyone, if you haven’t already, you should visit our website at www. startup. club. We have an email list where we send important updates on special speakers and offers and shows that we do.
