    AI powered marketing hacks. Like this is what it’s all about. Startups today are faced with an incredible opportunity to improve their business by using AI.

    Hello, Nicole. Thank you for joining.

    See the, see what we try to achieve here on this show is figuring out the code, the secret code of what it takes to start scale, exit, repeat. And I think in 2023, AI is critical for the formula of starting scaling, exiting and repeating. Today shows a little bit of a special episode that we’re going to be running today, because we’re also working on an article for Forbes magazine, where we would really like to try to pull together with the help from Mimi, uh, and the community here on Clubhouse and Nicole, of course, our guest speaker.

    We want to figure out, you know, what are those startup hacks? What are the things that a, that we can do as startups to use AI, to hack our way to growth, to become successful. And it’s just absolutely amazing. It is blowing up huge. I know the room is loading up right now. Uh, it’s been a little bit of a chaos on clubhouse over the last couple of days, the last few weeks as they did this upgrade.

    Uh, if anyone knows about clubhouse, it’s. It’s a little bit chaotic, but it’s coming together very nicely. And we’re going to have a very exciting room today. You might be, uh, I know the audience is just joining now, but if you’re in the audience and you’re thinking about, uh, AI and how AI has impacted your startup, or you have a story, we’d love to hear from you.

    So we’d like to ask you to raise your hand and come on stage. In addition, uh, we’re here today, uh, to talk with Nicole Donnelly. And this is a, this is a very special episode because we don’t often get the kind of experts on here like her to spend time from her day to work with us on a lot of experts on a lot of different topics.

    Uh, we’ve had a lot of people from the community talk about AI, but we haven’t had… You know, someone come in and just tell us what are some of the things that we as a startup can do with a, uh, you’re listening to Siri Launchpad or Secrets Revealed. My co host is Michelle Van Tilburg, and she will be moderating the room.

    Uh, before we kick it off, Nicole, Michelle, do you have any thoughts about today’s topic, AI and helping startups? All right. So I I’m going to say. If we’re not grabbing onto this topic, AI, and learning as much as we can, and trying to just experience it, I think we are already behind. I started to say we will be behind, but Nicole, I’m going to say then you’re already behind.

    It’s evolving so fast, and you know, I’m so happy that you were able to join us. I know you and your team have a wealth of information that you actually want to share with everyone here, all the members at the club. So we’re anxiously, you know, waiting and receptive to that. And also, um, everyone here in the session will be publishing an article as well.

    Mimi’s here, our, um, editor in chief of our website and all of our blogs, et cetera, but we’ll be publishing some of. Nicole’s resources here that she has so generously offered to us. In addition, I just, you know, Nicole actually has a series of classes. So, um, in a second, you know, Nicole, when you take the, the mic here, I would love for you to share with us, for example, how we can get ahold of you.

    But without further ado, I know you have generously offered to start sharing with us how, as a new company or a startup, we actually can have an early mover advantage. And I know when we were talking to you earlier about this session, you also told us about how we can, you know, avoid the debt load. By using these AI tools, meaning getting to market faster and being super efficient by using AI.

    So I think call, let’s just have Nicole, you know, do a brief introduction. Tell us what your mission is, Nicole, and how we can get ahold of you. Okay. Well, thank you for that. Um, I am a serial entrepreneur. I started my first real business back in 2005. And It was a consumer product company and grew it and sold it.

    And the part that I liked about it was really connecting with the customers. And at that time, social media was a really big opportunity. And we used to teach companies how to use social media. And then we ended up doing implementation for them. And 13 years later, I have a marketing agency and we’re doing this again now with AI, and we’re teaching people how to use AI.

    If you go to aismartmarketing. com and my email address is Nicole. At AI smart marketing. com I, we publish blog posts all the time on the latest tools and latest things that we’re finding out. And we try to make it super, super simple because we were talking about this yesterday. Like we’ve been in the businesses.

    in all these different cycles of like the crash of 2008 and understanding what it takes to grow from nothing to a million to five million. And in between, you know, just getting to a million, there’s a valley of death. Getting from 1 million to 10, there’s another valley of death. And right now there is a time like there has never been in history to put a bridge across that valley of death using AI and the technologies that are available now for free or very inexpensive.

    Something that I would have paid 150, 000 for in my first business now is going to be 25, 000 or 50, 000. And the tools that we have available to us I mean, it is going to shortcut your ability to grow so much. Um, we were doing a demonstration this morning. We do free Zooms that you can sign up for too at the bottom of our website.

    We did one today about Jasper and Jasper is a tool that helps you write copy. It also now has a knowledge base so you can train it on your services and products and then everything that you want to create from ads to press releases to email sequences can be done in a matter of seconds. With your information.

    So you can, you can create all the marketing things that you need, website, copy, all of that so incredibly fast. And so accurately, and you can do this stuff with chat GPT too, but. You’re not going to have that knowledge base of all your product information to start from so we can have people We’ve got somebody working in the Philippines for us, and she’s producing quality content that passes at a hundred percent as Opposed to getting eighty percent of the way there now it can be a hundred percent and go live straight to customers We look we review everything um But it saves so much time So much time and the quality is getting better and better, and it will allow to be competitive with companies that maybe aren’t so agile and cannot adopt AI in the organizations.

    So, so Nicole, is, is Jasper like ChatGPT where you pay 20 a month or is it a lot more expensive? Like, can you talk a little bit about how that works? Yeah, I think Jasper’s entry price right now is 49 a month and it does copy and it does images. Uh, it’s tied into Dolly on the background for images and it’s actually running.

    They have a chat feature in there too and it’s built on top of OpenAI and Cloud. So you get the nuanced and updated web search availability of Claude. Plus you get the power of the brain of OpenAI, which is ChatGPT’s brain. Um, with the cover on that, the interface is Jasper. And so it I just wanna, just for the audience though, cause I know that we’re gonna bounce around a lot, and I’m pretty new to this stuff as well.

    So when you say Claude, what do you mean by Claude? So if you know ChatGPT, there is another Another AI that you can interact with in a chat format, and it’s called Claude. Okay, so, and so how do you do that? You just go to ChatGPT and like… No, Claude. It’s an app. Oh, so it’s a different app. But that works with ChatGPT.

    Okay, I got it. I’m I’m No, I Well, that’s the thing, right? Nicole is like… You don’t have to build your own AI engine, right? Folks are building on top of these amazing engines. So, uh, let me back up a little bit. So AI is artificial intelligence. Another acronym that goes around is LLM, which is large language model.

    And most of the big tech companies like Google, Microsoft, and, um, A lot of others, they have these large language models and we’ll just refer to them as the big brains. So there’s the big brain that metaproduced. which is Facebook, there’s the big brain that Google is funding. There’s the big brain that Microsoft is funding.

    And there are several of these big brains, some different sizes that are out there, and most of the AI tools are built on just a handful of the big brains, or LLMs. And Jasper has two brains. That it’s running off of at least two, maybe three. We’re not a hundred percent sure. Um, and so Claude is one of the brains and chat GPT is one of the brains or open AI.

    Which runs ChatGPT. So you have multiple brains powering a tool that allows you to do all your copy output. And so the quality of the output is better than if you’re using any one of them alone. Got it, got it. And then so you the main entry point for that is Claude or Jasper? I’m sorry. Jasper. Jasper. So we go to Jasper, you pay 49 a month and that can provide you with that kind of information that you’re talking about.

    Alright, great. That’s a really neat hack. Uh, have you got a few more up your sleeve there? I sure do. So we also have to produce videos, right? When you’re a startup, you are doing a video, whether it’s a pitch video or some sort of a teaser video, a sizzle reel. And there’s a tool called PICTORY, P I C T O R Y.

    And. You can create videos in there in just a few minutes. You can upload a link for a blog post and it’ll turn your blog post into a video. You can put a script in there. Um, there’s, you can put a bunch of pictures and it makes a video. There’s four different pathways to getting a video and you can have it in square format, horizontal, or vertical.

    And it is the most simple way that with flexibility of the script, you can do voiceover, you can do AI voiceover, you can put music to it, and it’s really really easy to use. So I can take my blog post and If you know about SEO, search engine optimization, words are worth a bit to Google, if we’re feeding Google and telling it who we are.

    Images are worth a bit more, and they want to serve up images, but video, video is the most high value content you can produce. So if you’re writing an article or anything, you can just put the link into Pictory, make a video, and then upload that to all your socials. Do you think that Google is going to allow that like, do you think they’re going to, can they figure out the difference between a real live video?

    And don’t get me wrong. I just did last Thursday. I did 40 miniature videos with a video of the, with someone videotaping me on on the book coming up. Uh, and it was a lot of work and there’s a lot of real, I can’t, I can’t believe you can duplicate that. And I can’t believe Google wouldn’t, Google wouldn’t like penalize it.

    Okay. So Google’s stance currently, and they’ve done press releases on this over the last few months with updated stances, but it’s pretty similar. If your video or your blog post, your copy, whatever you’re putting out, if it provides value, and people interact with it, and it does what it says it’s going to do, then they will allow it, and they’ll promote it just as much as anything else.

    So, I might create a video using AI, I still have to make sure that it contains valuable information, and I have to make sure the words in there are right, and when I list it on YouTube, or any other social network, I have to describe it well, so that Google knows what the video is about. And we’ll serve it up to people as relevant, if they click it and watch it, then Google determines, okay, that’s a good video.

    So whether it’s one that I made of myself on my phone or I’m using Pictory for, it doesn’t really matter as long as it’s good for the user and delivers value. Also, they, any industry that’s regulated, they do not like the use of AI content for regulated industries. So finance, uh, pharma, any of these things, they are, they’re marking that the value of AI generated content down for those kind of industries.

    Okay. So you’re saying they, which in this context, we’re saying Google, yes. So Google. Knows if you’re doing just a cut and copy paste. I, this is something I’m very interested in knowing. So does Google actually know that it came from whatever chat GTP or, you know, whatever it is, do they actually know this?

    There are AI detection tools that you can test content and. There, there are things about it. So there are invisible watermarks to text and copy, but there’s ways of, there’s ways around that. And if you tell chat GPT or any of the others to write this copy as undetectable as AI, it will test at 98 percent human.

    Oh, that’s really good to know. All right. Something to add everyone to our prompts, right? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. All right. So I know when we were speaking with you yesterday about the show, we, we had talked, you mentioned something that I thought was really quite astounding. You said, I think there’s already like 7, 000 AI apps, tools, whatever.

    I wonder if you could give us a little insight into what you’re seeing a lot of versus where you believe there’s still opportunity. Um, I’d love for our startup club members to know where you think there is still startup opportunity for app developers in the AI space. That’s a really good question. Um, because there, there is room.

    And there are more than 7, 000 AI tools, extensions. If we include extensions and plugins, that number goes up dramatically, but there are, if you go to a website called, there’s an AI for that, you will find the list of more than 7, 000. It also tells you how many AI tools are listed on the site. And. It’s astounding how many there are, but then, you know, some people asked in our session this morning, they were talking about, well, can AI help me with this?

    Can AI help me with that? And, you know, the answer is, well, it’s just not there yet. There are many tasks in your business that cannot be fully AI’d yet. In a dependable way because it’s just not there and if somebody is considering and there are a lot of different examples for this, like just as many examples of tools or as many examples of things that aren’t there yet, there’s a lot of opportunities if you look at the tasks that an organization does broadly and we’ve done surveys in the companies that we work with, some of them are big, some of them are small, but some of the bigger ones we can see what are the tasks that you hate doing?

    doing? And is there an A. I. That can help to eliminate that task or make it more efficient? And that’s what we ask ourselves every day. I have a tab open Of an AI tools, like I always have the tabs open because when I’m doing something that I don’t necessarily want to do, I will ask AI for help with it.

    And there are gaps that we find, um, which there’s widgets or Zapier or little things that can help fill the gaps. And so then you go down this rabbit hole of AI plus automation. And you can fill a lot of the gaps with automation. Um, and I’m very not technical, so I have to hire someone to help with that.

    Yeah, I think that’s a good litmus test, right? Do you have to go ask someone to do it? Is it going to be a month or two weeks or whatever? That’s an opportunity, right? Yeah, it is. And if you think about, so if you’re actually building an AI tool and you think about the, where chat GPT could possibly go. In the future and the things that they’re working on in the future and some of these other companies, they are going to make some tools irrelevant because of what their product roadmaps look like.

    So it is good to understand what AI exists out there and which ones have the most money behind them, because you might be able to sneak into a niche that no one’s paying attention to. And there are a lot of those right now. Yeah, that that’s great advice because we know canvas out there with the AI we know Adobe and you know all this so we kind of don’t want to like Spend a bunch of our money or investors money just to find out some big company You know, is on the verge of releasing it.

    Yeah, that’s where looking at what Jasper’s doing. They have hundreds of millions of dollars behind them. And to look, understand what chat GPT, where they’re going, because they have billions of dollars, tens of billions of dollars behind them. Um, and so it’s like, how can you play with these tools and integrate them into your processes and then maybe create a unique value to your customers using AI?

    So we’re working, um, inside of a CRM tool that has an open API to create a sales. Chat bot that will actually convert and book appointments. And then we’re also working on a bot that will do discovery calls with people. Nice. And I was going to say, there’s nothing like that that exists right now. And all of those little Lego pieces or building blocks exist to make it happen.

    But there’s nothing commercially. Available on a, that’s accessible, um, in that area. So what are one or two of your favorite tools that you’re using now that you haven’t talked about yet? Um, Gamma. Gamma. app is another one that I love so much. And gamma helps you do presentations. It’ll also do documents and landing pages.

    Um, but my favorite thing is when I have to do decks when I’m doing, you know, these different workshops. Um, and if you have a startup and you’re doing pitch decks, it has a great template for pitch deck, but it is the fastest, easiest, best AI thing out there for presentations. That’s the best looking. Um, I.

    I love it because I, I find that a very tedious task and I love using it for that. Um, so Gamma’s gotta be one of the top ones for me. And then this other one called Udly, Y O O D L I, and Udly listens to my conversations and I’ve installed it on my desktop. It. It has a little, um, control panel thing that tells me the percentage of time that I’m talking in a Zoom.

    It tells me the filler words I’m using, and it’s rating me while this is going on. So it’s like a public speaking coach for your computer, which if you have a live gig, it can do this while you’re live speaking. Um, But I really like that, and my team really likes it too, because then we can see the words that we’re using, and how we can make our presentations better.

    Can you use it on Clubhouse too, or no? If I was running it on my computer, and I could, I could have it listen to me while I’m talking on Clubhouse, but I don’t have it. Okay, got it. Yeah. All right. Well, this has been so informative and I want to make sure that our members have a chance to talk. So let’s go to the audience and we 1st have Roland.

    Roland is a mainstay here in our. Sessions and we’re, you know, it’d be great to hear your, your feedback or your questions. Roland. Hey, thanks, Michelle. I don’t really have any questions just popped into listen. Um, my two cents is that the AI space is continually evolving. And if you’re a individual or an entrepreneur, there are a bunch of tools out there.

    Each one serving or rather not, I wouldn’t say necessarily serving, but with a different forte in terms of capability. Whether it’s image, text, um, sound, et cetera. And it’s all about how the startup wants to bring those different capabilities together, uh, to help with marketing. Possibly, it might make a lot more sense, at least for people, someone with my thought process, if one were to break down the marketing process, uh, and the marketing activities within a startup, and then start trying to say, okay, where could an AI tool apply?

    Would it be in copywriting? Uh, would it be in something else? Because then you’re able to give, uh, startup founders, um, in the audience more specific, um, views on what may go where. Where would mid journey go? Where would Anthropic be useful? Where would ChatGPT be useful? Where would Bing, BARD, or, or whatever else is out there?

    Anyway, that’s my two cents, Michel. Thank you very much. Back to you. We’ll let you comment on that, Nicole.

    Yeah, I think it is. I mean, there’s a lot of tools to do anything. And again, like we take it back to the task. What is the task that you do not want to do? And what’s going to help you with that? We try to curate a short list to give you the tools that have the most funding and most stability behind them.

    Um, that give you the most consistent results. And we also look at working in teams. And so, um, because you can really get lost in this and, Okay. Uh, I don’t know, like pick one or two to start with, like chat GPT with AI PRM plugin or start with Jasper, um, because you could just get this shiny object syndrome as so many of us do and be like, Oh, this is cool.

    This is cool. This is cool too. Um, but not really implement anything. Um, so I would just caution in that way, like keep it super simple and just look at the tasks at hand and how AI can help you with that.

    Yeah, I think that, um, it could also be dangerous for a little bit, um, no, we won’t get, we’re going to focus on how it can help startups. We’re not going to go down this path, but we think about how a lot of the, I mean, I can’t imagine someone doing email support in the United States anymore when it can be done in the Philippines or India with a Zendesk conversion, uh, you know, and Zendesk is one of the products we use for paw.

    com. So I know that they’re starting to develop AI Implementations and it’s going to be a lot more difficult for, uh, those type of support staff in America, you know, in the, in the Americas or Western world, because literally the cost of labor, which, which from a startup perspective is, is a good thing, right?

    But the cost of labor is much lower in these foreign countries, language has been a problem in the past, but that no longer is the case. Any thoughts on that before you jump to. Famous Priscilla. Oh, I mean, I think it’s so cool. I don’t know if you’ve heard or if you’ve used the, the voice accent eliminator or converter, but you can take an accent and neutralize it.

    Or you can add a British accent. And I think that for customer support to be able to neutralize the accents too, is going to be a game changer and it will really make the. borderless talent situation that we have going on be even more effective. are you talking about live, like a live communication? Yeah, live so you can give me a Scottish accent, right?

    And I could, yes, I love it. It can give you any accent that you want to, or take away the accent that you have. It can make you, it can change your gender sound on there as well. Um, and so, you know, it’s been helping from a communication standpoint. It’s been helping that way. It’s not perfect and not. Not a lot of people are using it yet, but I think that’s one of the things you’re going to see.

    And it will make an impact on that market in, in North America, I believe. All right. So before we jump to Priscilla, so I, I just want to hear, you know, how you’re helping people at different stages, Nicole of business. Like, I know that you have a very intensive, um, educational series, but tell us a little bit about.

    You know, ways that people are learning to adapt because I know myself, I thought, Oh, okay. Um, you know, we’re going to put a chat bat on. And then I realized, Oh my God, I have to like train the model. Like there’s still a lot of unknowns as easy as this may or may not sound. Like, what is your recommendation?

    I, I personally want to get trained on this better. So what would be your advice to someone like me? I’d say come join our class. We, uh, we do live classes once a week, and then we also do, there’s the online portion as well. Um, and so we can address any stage, anything that you’re looking to do. We have, We’ve got a format to it and the things that we roll out.

    Um, but by the end of class, you would absolutely feel comfortable with using AI and you’d probably find the areas that you could even become proficient in. And then you’ll identify the areas that maybe somebody else in the organization should be looking into more like for us, we need somebody for the code.

    Sort of technical aspect of things and we, we each have things that we’ll go deep in. So we’ve got someone on our team who just loves mid journey and. She’s a resource for you when you come to the class to go into MidJourney. If you want to do presentations, that’s me. If it’s spreadsheet analysis and creation, that’s also me.

    If it’s video, it’s someone else. So, you can get access to these resources, and at very minimum, just sign up and… Start attending the free zooms and you’ll learn just by being in the ecosystem, you’ll start to learn and you’ll get invited to the conversations. But I think it’s the live conversations for me that are so helpful, like that our team has too.

    Yeah. So I’m thinking, you know, just dive in, join this kind of education or groups or whatever it is. And, you know, for me, I, I just kind of have to get in there and do it. All right. I see Priscilla. Priscilla, I know you’re heavily involved in AI and would love to hear your thoughts or questions on the subject.

    So I want to say thank you to Startup Club. So what I do is I help professionals like Nicole in the digital marketing space. And then I also assist with relationships with. Uh, professionals like Roland in the influencer space because, you know, he’s a top data influencer in LinkedIn. So, my strategist partner, Tanya and I, we come together and we are now providing affiliate marketing management.

    for AI powered marketing tools. So this is something that I would love to even host sessions with Nicole in the startup club, if, if you guys want to, and we can really talk about it. But my background is also in AI engineering. So that’s something that I could also bring to the table to assist, but I want to start off with just sharing.

    Of different opportunities as michelle was speaking about Within the affiliate marketing management realm for these types of relationships. It’s so important for you to understand And nicole touched on it earlier. You could just be misguided and there’s so many ai tools out there But how do you know?

    Which one is the right one, right? So we come in, we’ve tested it, we’ve researched all these different AI tools. We have a community, a large network of professionals who trust us and our judgment, as well as we allow them to promote these types of products. And what it does for companies is that it provides cost efficient promotion without upfront ad spend.

    Or recruiting on, let’s say an in house team. So that’s how I contribute. So happy to be here and be able to contribute to this conversation. Priscilla Pausing. Yeah. I love the idea of doing a show with Nicole and Priscilla, the two of you. That would be really fun. We should, we should try to arrange something like that over the next 30 days or so.

    Um, yeah, it’s very, very cool. Let’s jump down. Oh, any thoughts for Nicole on, on Priscilla’s, uh, topic there? And then we’ll jump to Eduardo. Yeah. Well, Priscilla, I’m filling out the info form on your website. I would love to chat with you about that and see who you’ve got relationships with, because I’ve been working to build relationships with some of the tools too, because then.

    Like the people will come and support our class and we can provide more value because we’ve got the insider experts from inside the companies and, um, yeah.     We love it. Dr. Eduardo, we’d love to hear from you. Uh, question for Nicole or Priscilla or anyone else on the stage or or or do you have a thought about this? Well, I’m running around checking my post office box. So, uh, yeah, but nonetheless, no, we, we use AI, um, in a lot of levels in the research that we do in our training of astronauts is ever present in all that we do on that aspect.

    But in terms of this topic here, um, in terms of marketing. Our marketing team uses AI as well, it is more of an assist, you know, um, for example, we have two different types of technologies that we use, uh, one is socialosity, um, so socialosity, uh, I believe it’s dot AI or dot, I think so, I don’t know, socialosity, look it up, anyway, so essentially that one has reduced our amount of time it takes us to post it.

    On all social media channels, it’s incredible, you know, so from an entrepreneurial perspective or even the startup, right? The topic here, um, you know, if you were to go to, uh, YouTube and post, and then, of course, you would go to, um, Instagram and Facebook and all the other ones linked in. You know, that takes a bit of time, especially when you have a lot of team members on a marketing team, each one of them doing their, their, their own posts or videos, um, having the ability to go to one location and to make that accessible.

    And yes, you can obviously. Revised to whatever social media channel you’re speaking to it is so much better. It is a, it has reduced our, our time to post on social media by numerous hours per day. It’s it absolutely is incredible. Um, so the AI on that level, fantastic. And it’s embedded with socialosity.

    The chat GPT is actually embedded inside of it. So it can, it can review the phrases or concepts. It can, it can do all the hashtags. Um, and it all does it in, in seconds. I mean, you literally watch this thing typing for you. Um, and then, of course, it’s, it’s never a replacement. Never a replacement. You know, it is, it is a reviewer.

    So it makes a suggestion. I mean, that’s how our team and I look at it. Is, it is a suggestion. And so we make edits and revisions to the content that, that these tools suggest. You know, so from a standpoint of moving your company and growing it faster, definitely a resource to use. Um, and then, of course, there is, let’s see here, that’s on that aspect.

    Then there’s the, the sales funnel we also use as of recently, we’ve started using a sales funnel and that, uh, you’ll use AI as well. And setting that all up where this thing’s learning. Um, and also it’s, it’s more of an ML. It’s really just a, here’s what I want to do. And it executes, right. But it’s also learning.

    Um, so being able to have that as another tool is yet another resource that we use. Um, that alone is empowering us to leverage all the social media posts that we do. Uh, last year, uh, let’s see, was the last year, last year in the years before that, you know, when we have. Different media posts that are occurring, some of them go viral.

    I mean, we’re talking 500, 000 views, right? Well, we’ve gained no, no, we gained a lot of followers or we gained, we gained publicity, but a way in which to, to capitalize on that, to grow our sales is something we did not have in place. Uh, people would email us and we would certainly respond. And that takes a lot of human, human hours, right?

    But to have now a system in place where the whole thing is automated, where someone can get, let’s say, for example, a free ebook, right, which is what we now offer. Um, you know, they go in there and they, they use that. And now they’re in our sales funnel and we can update emails and text messages. And this whole thing helps with that.

    So, in terms of, you know, AI powered marketing, it is really a full system. It’s not just one thing, you know, if you’re going to go market. You know, are you going to show them the door in order to grow your business? And when you show them the door, you know, what processes are in place, you know, you gotta think about that.

    And, and of course, you know, what, what is it, what is it that you’re marketing? Are you speaking to your brand? All this stuff has to be considered. Um, but yes, absolutely. AI, absolutely incredible. We love it.

    Oh, I think, uh, I think we may have lost, um, our guest speaker, Nicole there. Nicole, if you can come back or if we can find her, that would be great. Um, we’re going to jump over to Kelvin. Kelvin, it looks like you’re new to Clubhouse. I’m following you by the way, by the way, following as many people as I can now on Clubhouse.

    Yes, let me, let me send. Yeah, yeah. Kelvin, did you want to share something with us or ask a question of Priscilla or one of us? Oh, here she is. There’s Nicole. She’s back. All right, we lost Kelvin anyway. But, um, uh, Priscilla, you were coming off there. Maybe you had a thought about that last… I thought that was fascinating what Eduardo was saying.

    Yeah, it’s very true because there’s so many components within a digital marketing pie as well as getting your brand, your service, or your product out to market. So, uh, really paying attention to what Dr. Eduardo did mention. It’s very relevant in this space. And actually knowing how to do it accurately because There’s so many ways that you could kind of just go the wrong way, right?

    The wrong direction. So, yeah, um, if I could add to that. And then I do want to speak about something, if you don’t mind, may I mention a tool in here, Colin? I don’t want to No, go ahead. No, no, that’s what it’s all about. That’s what we want to learn. Okay, perfect. So my favorite tool so far has been, Hey Jen.

    And let me tell you why right now you heard Nicole speak about it earlier. They’re, uh, looking into ways where in live you. Speak in multiple different languages. How fantastic would it be if you could speak in Portuguese or if you could speak in Spanish or if you know, just to have a broader reach, still have the same TAM, but it’s a broader reach.

    Right. So, uh, they’re incorporating that. Also, we have a lot of entrepreneurs, especially in the startup club. Right. So in this. space that, let’s say, are selling a tangible product as well, just to either help bootstrap their own business or something like that, HeyGen, what it does is it provides you with a URL to video, which you don’t see that in any other platform.

    And it really provides you with a product description instantly. You’re hearing more and more about product reviews. That is something that you should really consider. And as well as. Let’s say I’m in a comfortable attire. But yet, I have my makeup on in a picture already saved as an asset within HeyJen.

    All I have to do is swap my face into a professional attire instead. speak, and that way I don’t have to stress about really getting ready to present in a video. Uh, also the use cases are endless. There are over literally a hundred use cases, so meaning you are provided with different templates within HeyGen to be able to use it, um, whether it be for holidays, right now, today marks the first day of National, uh, Hispanic Heritage Month, and that goes on through October 15th.

    So congratulations to all the Latinas and Latinos out there. I just want to say that. But, but, you know, all this comes into play with your marketing. You have to know your retail calendar or your marketing calendar for things like this, right? So, The, uh, these types of opportunities within Haygen to create these sophisticated AI spokesperson’s avatars is something that I really push.

    I put a link in the chat just in case of anyone wants to try it. It’s a free trial, but these are the types of partnerships that you want to align yourself with because they have the backing, they have the, the quality. Product as well. And you know, they’re going to be around when you purchase their product, you know, so that’s why I, I backed them up the way that I do Priscilla pausing.

    We’ve used HeyJen also. And, um. We’ve used it for videos, like little mini instructional videos, and it’s really easy to use too, which is something I think that’s really important because some of the tools get very complicated and it’s like looking at the dashboard for some fighter jet, as opposed to a really simple interface.

    And HeyGen is really simple also.

    That’s very cool. Um, Dr. Eduardo, earlier in the conversation, when you first started, you had said something about. You’re helping train astronauts with AI. Can you talk a little bit more about that? That sounds very interesting. I know it’s not marketing related, maybe, but

    Dr. Eduardo, are you there still? Was I going crazy? Did I hear him say that, uh, they were helping train astronauts? I heard that. I heard something go on the moon. Astronauts, not quite sure. Well, it sounds like we may have lost him. So I’ll give, uh, if you come back in a minute, we’ll, we’ll, we’ll bring it on there.

    Dr. Eduardo to talk about that. I do want to, uh, announce that, um, we’re making progress on our own AI initiatives here at Startup Club. We have a vision that, uh, Michelle and myself and others here mainly are working on to launch a startup club AI, and that would include, uh, starting with the book. So the book start, scale, exit, repeat, which is really.

    The topic of this, this podcast, this live show, uh, it starts, scale, exit, repeat, serial entrepreneur secrets revealed. It comes out on October 3rd, uh, published by Forbes, uh, two days ago, they said, based on early numbers, it will be a bestseller on day one. So we’re pretty excited about that, but we wanted to do something a little different.

    So we’re now adding that book. We’ve, we’ve uploaded that book into a, okay, I’m going to use the wrong language here, Priscilla and Nicole. So please don’t shoot me. Uh, we’ve uploaded it into, uh, into a library or in their database. And, uh, so now that, uh, on October 3rd, you could actually go to Startup Club AI and ask questions and it will give responses based on the book.

    We also want to include with that all of the episodes that we’ve recorded and all the transcripts that we have for every episode on Serial Entrepreneur Secrets Revealed, and probably the Complete Entrepreneur as well, which We, uh, do every, uh, Thursday at five o’clock and then, and then so that when you do go there, you type in a question, like, how do I raise money?

    And it gives you the answer from the book. It gives you a list of, uh, podcasts that you can listen to, uh, and also we’ll have the mini videos. So again, I, I mentioned we’re doing, uh, about 100 mini videos all throughout the book. And we’re not using an avatar. We’re not using AI. We’re going the old fashioned way where we’re filming it directly.

    Unfortunately, uh, I don’t look as good as the avatars, but we, we do our best to try to make the videos, uh, you know, authentic and real and, and, and helpful. So the idea would be that you would go to startup club AI, simply enter in a question on a chat bot, and it would come back with text point form. It would come back with videos and podcasts that you can listen to.

    All in regards to, uh, the question you have, we are trying to find ways that we can use AI to help entrepreneurs. And we think that’s one way that can be added to the list as well. Nicole, have you been holding back any, any, uh, uh, other cool apps that you want to share with us? That’s a good question. I do have a list, um, and we keep them updated on our blog.

    Um, The things that I use that we’ve been testing Claude, that’s, that’s a newer one that’s competitor to ChatGPT, and Claude sounds more human in its answers, um, but sometimes it doesn’t give as much detail when detail is needed, um, but I’d say play with Claude if you’re playing with ChatGPT and ChatGPT.

    Just compare and see what interface you like better. Um, Clod allows you to upload PDFs and CSVs and spreadsheets, so if you wanted to do something like you get a big contract and there’s a ton of information and you want to get to the meat of it, You can simply have a conversation with Claude and ask it questions about the long contract.

    So some people want to know about privacy policies of the different tools. You could upload the privacy policy and then have a conversation with that PDF and ask what the You know, as a user of this, what the privacy concerns are or how they use your data and you can get a summary of really long documents.

    So I think as from a startup perspective, like there’s so many different things. That you get documentation for that you need to understand and so I find that Really useful. Hey Priscilla here. I wanted to chime in real quick and just share To bounce off when Nicole said for the entrepreneurs in this space.

    If you have those agreements, right, or anything that you want to share that’s in writing, that you need to be aware of, or that you’re planning on sharing with someone else, you can also utilize the PDF. In addition to that, use, um, it clearly state you want things citated in MLA format and things like that.

    And this is also for the starter entrepreneur researcher. We see a lot of that with the large language models and, um, these startups coming out of Dr. Eduardo. Yes. So, um, that will be very helpful for you. Priscilla, pausing. Yeah, great. So Dr. Eduardo, uh, it sounds like you’re back. We have, we have a question for you.

    Cause you started. Yeah, talking about training, uh, astronauts with AI. We wanted to hear a little bit more about that. Have you got a minute to share that? Oh, yeah. Absolutely. Sorry. I just stepped away for a moment and get in the mail, finishing up. All right. Yeah. What’s your question? Yeah. So, I mean, you mentioned that you were training using AI to train astronauts and we just thought that was fascinating and we wanted to hear a little bit more about that.

    Oh, happy to speak on that. Yeah, sure. Um, it’s not entirely marketing, but, but, uh, sure. Uh, you know, so we, we have, um, a technology called Human Machine Teaming, HMT. It’s a licensed technology from NASA. And, um, the reason they licensed it to us is because we are applying it to our other, um, technologies. One is a cognitive functional characteristic algorithm that assesses the psychological functional characteristics of individuals and their entire team, all of them, and assembles The best possible team.

    So that goes into the A. I. As well. And then, of course, there’s the bio information. We have our own astronaut smartwatch that monitors the health and activity levels, sleep levels of all of our candidates in training, and all that goes into the as well. So when you take all of that and combine it, the A. I.

    Is helping us apply statistical algorithms, and it’s either finding a confirming the data we know Uh, or finding areas of opportunity to explore, um, things that an AI can do much faster than we can when we do the math ourselves, you know. So, that’s, that’s how it works in the background in terms of statistics.

    How it works in the foreground, uh, is there is a, uh, we have two options. One of them is the camera on a laptop that can be enabled, uh, based on the user. Um, and so the camera is observing. The operator, uh, who is in training, and the operator will be controlling a rover or a drone, uh, usually. We don’t have we actually focus on those two pieces of equipment right now.

    And what it’s determining is, first off, how how their performance is. So it’s assessing their ability to execute on, uh, a drone or a rover. Uh, and of course, we are also measuring how many drones and rovers, uh, that one operator can Uh, efficiently managed. And so the, the camera is, is watching this operator in terms of their body language and their eye movements and their facial expressions and it’s learning and what it’s doing is it’s, it’s, uh, applying an understanding that when someone’s performance drops down before their baseline, it recognizes, uh, tells, if you will, like poker, it can, it can identify these tells that indicate Um, whether that person is, had too much caffeine, or maybe they’re on drugs, you know, uh, maybe they didn’t get enough sleep, uh, you know, uh, maybe there’s an emotional trauma that has happened in their lives.

    Whatever that is, it can identify the anomalies, and it can correlate those with their performance. What’s also cool, to take it to a whole nother level, there are a lot of sensors on the equipment that we use, uh, the rovers and drones and stuff, and those sensors require a team to work with those, those instruments.

    and assess what’s going on as those instruments are reading what they’re reading. Well, those individuals are also, uh, part of the observation of the AI. And so, the, the AI then calculates the entire team’s performance, not just the individual operator, but the entire team, because they all affect the one operator who might be controlling the waypoints or the direction, you know, left, right, forward, back, up, down, whoever the operator is.

    That individual is also being influenced by the entire team and maybe what they want to see or maybe what they’re assessing. So the AI is able to calculate all these things in fractions of a second. Um, so, what we, what it then does do is it provides, um, alerts. Now, this is the, this is all the stuff we’re now taking on in terms of our next stages of research is the alert aspects.

    So it notifies, sends notifications to the project manager or all the team members. And when, when there is an area of opportunity that one, one operator, maybe they need a break, you know, or one controller or one person in the team member, maybe they need a break, or it can identify when one of the teams is performing, would perform better than the other teams that is observed based on the entire team’s psychological cognitive makeup.

    Right? So that’s how we apply AI in our training situations. And obviously, as we move forward with missions on the lunar surface and Mars. We’ll be looking at swarms and we’ll go in with a lot of information knowing here’s how it functions on Earth. Now in these different gravity scenarios or further away from Earth, um, you know, we’ll look at the variables that also affect those teams.

    Wow, and it’s very interesting and I’m going to twist it back to startups here. You know, bring it back to Earth and ask Priscilla and Nicole, uh, have they, have you seen… Uh, any A. I. Help with hiring. So he talked a little bit about, you know, how, you know, connecting people. Uh, we talk a lot about that in the book about identifying profiles using either Myers Brigg or disc profile and complimenting yourself as a startup founder, you know, has AI played a role at all in helping you find great people for your startup?

    We’ll start with you, Nicole. Oh, Priscilla. Go ahead, Priscilla first. Hey. So yeah, there is an AI product out there known as sonara. I’ve been doing it pretty much my own, own. Now, how do you say that? Pronounce it or spell it? Sona. Sonara. So SS as in Sam, O as in owl, and as in nickel, A as in apple, R as in Richard, A as in apple.

    Okay. Yeah, really consider that because it does disperse the applications within your niche where it’s relevant to what it is that you’re looking for, and it’ll help you that way. Priscilla, pause it.

    I think it’s an interesting question. There definitely are AI and automation sequences for things like this. And the typical automations or AI that might look at someone’s application, they miss the human aspect of it. So we have a process where we do, um, we’ll, we have a process. We can automate a lot of it and having someone on the phone to see if they’re a good applicant makes a really big difference.

    And I actually think like back to the. The astronaut training, if you had something that was that sophisticated and you could tell when people are being truthful in their answers, um, the technology that we’re using for, uh, onboarding clients could do an interview just fine, and it could ask subsequent questions and analyze the information and see if they are a good fit or not, but then there is.

    There is straight up the human aspect of it and do the people on your team like this person? Is that person a good team player? So we always do. interviews, group interviews, or working interviews, and for people to get to the, to the interview process, um, I don’t know that I would trust AI that is accessible to the average person to make those decisions for us at this point.

    I think when we have some of these more sophisticated ones mass available, then, You know, then that would be an option, but I imagine that the, uh, the kind of tools that Dr. Eduardo is talking about are, um, are highly sophisticated and not accessible to your average startup. Wow. It sounds like we’re dealing with a black mirror episode.

    You know, we could have, uh, we could have, we could write one easily here. You’re talking about, it’s scary, it’s, it’s, it’s also very powerful and I, Nicole, if you could finish this off here with one, you know, sort of one final statement around the, you know, the idea of startups, can you avoid AI and just sort of do your own thing and, and keep your business going, or?

    Or is this something that if you don’t embrace this, then you’re going to be left behind? What are your thoughts on that? I think it depends on your business. But, and I would say You know, there is that valley of death from start to getting to a million and from getting to one to ten. And this is the bridge that can help you get across the valley of death.

    If you do not choose to embrace AI, you are choosing to take a more challenging route. And there has, like I said, there has never been a time in history. Where you’ve had the ability to build a bridge across the valley of death and avoid all these pitfalls Because the technology is accessible. It’s inexpensive.

    It’s easy to use There are instructional videos out there for you and resources in groups like never before in any time in history ever so I don’t know why you would not leverage it, especially being a startup because you’re so agile and you can implement it from the beginning. This will give startups the advantage over businesses that are slow to move.

    And it’s such an amazing opportunity to allow you to get further faster. So you could choose not to, but you risk, I think you risk the chance of dying in that valley of death a lot more. Well, very good. And we’re going to try to take the transcript of this, run it through AI. Uh, Mimi will do that and then we’ll send that out on the email list.

Does not really have the best communication tools for our members.

    So, definitely recommend you get on that. If we do use an app, one issue we’ve had in the past is Chat GPT limits the number of characters. Is there an app that Mimi can use that would, would be, uh, would allow her to upload the entire transcripts? Yes. Yeah, what is that app? Um, you can use Otter or Firefly or Read.

    You can also put 100, 000 characters, or, well, it’s 100, 000 tokens into Clod. That’s another reason why we were experimenting with Clod, because the limit on chat GPT is 32, 000, and Clod is 100, 000. So I’m not sure how many tokens this conversation will take up, but you could use one of those. You could also, I would say, look at read.

    ai, read. ai. Um, you could upload the conversation in there, and it’ll summarize it too. It’s a note taker and Uh, you could have a big old conversation in there. Awesome. Thank you so much, Nicole. I’m excited to try all of the things you’ve suggested. Hey, I wanted to share, too, that when you do a word count, because it’s very similar to tokens, this is my tech side, uh, if you can do the word count and possibly add maybe 10 to 15 more, depending on how long it is, okay?

    So you’re, you’re accounting. One extra one to four extra ones for every hundred words. Let’s just say Okay, so play with it and then go to Claude and say transcript with this 100, 000 count whatever but based on your word count to deduce and estimate What that token would be so that would help you Priscilla pausing Awesome.
